Title: Our Patented Vitamin C Derivative “Amitose 3GA”
– Multiple Anti-aging Effect

Speaker: Takahiro Uchijima
Company: Seiwa Kasei
Ascorbic acid is one of the water-soluble vitamins and is known to have multiple beneficial effects capability on beauty, such as its anti-pigmentation and collagen-stimulating effects. However, Ascorbic acid is quite unstable against heat, light and oxygen in solution. In addition, the use of Ascorbic acid in emulsions and gel is very difficult due to the strong ionic characteristic of Ascorbic acid. To solve these problems, we have developed Amitose 3GA by introducing a glyceryl group into Ascorbic acid. Amitose 3GA has excellent stability of its formulation and its potential as an anti-skin aging material with ROS scavenging effects. Furthermore, Amitose 3GA has an excellent sensory texture without sticky-feeling specific to Ascorbic acid. Thus Amitose 3GA can be used in anti-aging cosmetics with excellent stability and sensory.
